Abstract HRABE OFDM multi-carrier modulation with block-filter is seriously considered for modern technologies. F-OFDM suffers from a high average peak power-to-power ratio (PAPR), degrading the efficiency of the High Power Amplifier (HPA), which is an essential component in modern devices and is intrinsically non-linear. The conjunction between a igh PAPR and a nonlinear HPA greatly hampcrs the frequency localization property duc to possible spectral regrowth. In this thesis, we propose to measure the Complementary Complementary Cumulative Density Function (CCDF) and improve the system performance by reducing the PAPR according to the four well known methods: Tone Reservation (TR), Selected Mapping (SLM), Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) and Clipping Method. We will study this effect by simulation using the MATLAB software. To this end, we will examine and simulatc a transmission chain with its filters as well as its spectral density and the techniques that improve the performance of the F-OFDM systems by using the reduction of the PAPR.In fact, the CCDF measurement in terms of Peak power to average power ratio (PAPR) would be a good indicator of performance. |
