Researchers and practitioners are building AI-based systems that face real-world and industrial problems. Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Decision Making, Control and Automation provides a balanced state-of-the-art presentation of the involvement of AI in the design and operation of important industrial systems with built-in intelligence. Topics included are: integration of qualitative and quantitative models, timing problems, intelligent simulation and control, multiresolutional architectures for autonomous systems, DAI systems, artificial neural networks in modelling and control, system diagnostics, industrial robotic systems and cells, man-robot systems, flexible manufacturing systems, knowledge-based scheduling systems. Readers can save considerable time in searching the scattered literature in the field, and can find here a rich set of how-to-do issues and results which will improve their skills in analyzing and designing AI-based systems. Titre : Atlas of point contact spectra of electron-phonon interactions in metals Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Andrei V. Khotkevich, Auteur ; Igor K. Yanson, Auteur Editeur : USA : Kluwer Academic Année de publication : 1995 Importance : 151 p. Format : 26 cm. Langues : Anglais (eng) Langues originales : Russe (rus) Mots-clés : Interactions électron-phonon Métaux Supraconductivité Résumé : The Atlas of Point Contact Spectra of Electron--Phonon Interactions in Metals is the first systematic presentation of experimental measurements of the electron--phonon interaction in clean metals, obtained using the method of microcontact spectroscopy. Detailed microcontact spectra (plots of the second derivative of the current--voltage characteristics of point microcontacts, measured at low temperatures) are presented for 31 metals. These can be used in the calculation of thermodynamic and kinetic properties of metallic systems (electrical conduction, thermoconductivity, thermal expansion, etc.) as well as for verification of microscopic theories of metals. The book is intended for use by scientific researchers and graduate students working in the areas of solid state physics, low temperature physics, spectroscopy and the physics of metals. A. Dowd, Auteur Editeur : USA : Kluwer Academic Année de publication : cop. 1994 Collection : Quantitative geology and geostatistics, ISSN 0924-1973 num. 7 Importance : XI-255 p. Présentation : ill. Format : 25 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-7923-2732-5 Note générale : Bibliogr. a la fin de chaque chap.Extraits des discussions du congres Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : GENIE CIVIL:624.1 technique de construction: MDS ;Analyse des structures etude geologique Mots-clés : Geostatistical Résumé : This book contains selected contributions from the Workshop on Geostatistical Simulations, which was held in Fontainebleau, May 1993. The papers included are an accurate reflection of the current debates, applications and research interests in geostatistical simulation. Nowadays, in addition to the original turning bands method, there are several other established methods of geostatistical simulation. The continued development of these methods is driven by problems encountered in the implementation of existing methods, e.g. the search for more efficient algorithms, the desire to incorporate new variables such as (geometrical or geological) shapes, the perceived need to eliminate parametric approaches, and the new end-uses of simulated images or models. A number of the most important questions raised are: How are simulation methods and simulated images to be assessed? What properties of simulated images are inherent in the methods used to obtain the images? Are some methods more suitable to specific applications than others?
